Tomorrow is the last day of school and it has been a wonderful year! It has been a joy to teach information literacy skills and literature appreciation to the students of Lewis and Clark! We'll see you next fall and I can't wait to hear what you've been reading over the summer. :)
I just finished the Newbery winner for this year, The Graveyard Book, by Neil Gaiman. What an interesting read. It starts off pretty intense, but develops into a fantastic tale of a boy raised by the spirits in a graveyard. I found myself carving out as much time as I possibly could to read more. If you are a very sensitive person, it might not be for you, but otherwise, it is hard to imagine anyone not finding it to be a great read. If you do pick it up this summer, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
On the nuts and bolts side of things, library fines must be paid in order to get student report cards. If you do not get it paid (or turned in, preferably) by the afternoon of Friday, June 12th, you'll need to pay the fine in the office. Thanks and again, happy summer reading!
